The golf superstar Tiger Woods plans to formally modify his testimony in the case of the traffic accident he suffered in March in Florida, according to court documents released on Tuesday. The legendary player, who initially declared himself innocent of driving drunk, will have a "change of plea" hearing scheduled for Wednesday morning in a Martin County court, although Woods' new position has not been specified in the records.

The accident occurred when the vehicle driven by Woods collided with a trailer pulled by a pickup truck near his residence in Jupiter Island, Florida. According to authorities, officers found the player near the collision site. Woods' attorney did not immediately respond to questions about the scope of the legal action.

The winner of 15 Grand Slam titles faces charges related to driving under the influence after the March incident. Wednesday's hearing will be the next formal step in the legal process, when Woods may present his new official position on the charges.
