The school year began with 98% of teachers placed in the Azores

The academic year began today in the Azores with a total of 30,866 students. The teacher placement rate reached 98%, the same value recorded in the previous academic year of 2025/2026. The information was confirmed by the regional secretary of Education, Culture and Sports, Sofia Ribeiro, who highlighted that, as in the previous year, teaching needs were met on September 1st at a rate of 98%.
