The second edition of the book voucher program, which ended on Monday, issued a total of 52,448 vouchers, of which 45,075 were effectively used, representing a usage rate of approximately 85.9%, according to data announced by the Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports.
The vouchers had a nominal value of 30 euros each and were intended for the purchase of books. The program covered a universe of 207,086 beneficiaries, young residents in Portugal.
The data refers to the period between January and August of this year. The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports was the entity responsible for releasing these figures related to the program.
