A fire broke out in a scrubland area in the municipality of Penacova, Coimbra district, this Tuesday, September 1, mobilizing an elevated firefighting force.
The alert for the occurrence was given at 5:06 PM, with 136 operatives from various fire brigades dispatched to the location.
The firefighting resources also include 30 ground means, in addition to eight aerial means that were mobilized to support operations on the ground.
The fire continues to require a significant firefighting effort, with authorities working to control the flames in the region.
