TAP: Government received report from Parpública on Air France and Lufthansa proposals

The Ministry of Finance officially confirmed to the Portuguese news agency that Parpública has already delivered to the Government the report regarding the binding offers submitted by Air France-KLM and Lufthansa to purchase a 44.9% stake in TAP. The report was requested by the Portuguese executive as part of the process of evaluating the received proposals. The two European airline companies submitted their binding offers to acquire this shareholding position in the Portuguese airline. The Portuguese Executive will now analyze the contents of the report in detail before making any decision on the privatization process.

Electrified cars represented almost a quarter of total sales in August, an unprecedented level

Electric cars represented nearly a quarter of light vehicle sales in Brazil in August, with 63,709 units sold, equivalent to 24.3% of the total market — an unprecedented level. This share exceeds the 61,846 units from July (23.3%) and more than doubles the 24,755 recorded in August 2025. Year-to-date, the segment totals approximately 367,500 units sold, compared to 156,700 in 2025, an advance of 134%. The data was anticipated by consulting firm Bright Consulting based on official records from Renavam. BYD ranked fourth, with 24,441 automobiles and commercial vehicles sold, closing in on General Motors, the third-place holder of the Chevrolet brand.
