The Energy Minister announced that Brussels reacted positively to the State's return to REN (Rede Elétrica Nacional), considering that the issue of energy security and sovereignty was "very well understood" by the European authorities.
The executive intends that the State's return to REN will strengthen the country's energy security, thus ensuring greater control over the strategic infrastructure of the sector.
According to the minister, the fact that the State has an additional tool to monitor energy policies was an argument that received good acceptance from Brussels.
