Public debt interest expenditure should increase by 776 ME next year

State expenditure on public debt interest payments in 2027 should increase by 776 million euros compared to this year. The forecast was made by the Government in a preparatory document for the 2027 State Budget. This increase represents significant growth in the costs associated with Portuguese public debt. The document serves as the basis for the preparation of the 2027 State Budget, which will be presented shortly.
