The artist returned to the platform with a social media post, where he used informal language to communicate the decision.
In the post, Salvador Sobral compared himself to David facing Goliath, admitting that the platform is too powerful to face alone. "It's like this, tail between my legs, ball forward and we're back on Spotify," the singer wrote, using a colloquial expression to describe his situation.
The artist explained that the decision to return was linked to the need to promote his concerts. According to Salvador Sobral, it is through Spotify that he manages to "sell tickets" for live shows, a determining factor for his professional subsistence as a musician.
Salvador Sobral's return to Spotify comes after a period when the singer chose to make his music available outside this platform, possibly in protest against the practices of the digital music industry. However, the economic reality of an artistic career ultimately prevailed, leading the singer to backtrack on his initial position.
