The collective dismissals increased 13% compared to the previous year, according to data mentioned in the article. In total, 375 collective dismissals were registered.
The Lisbon and Tagus Valley region was the most affected, concentrating 221 of these collective dismissals. This region is clearly the most impacted by the phenomenon.
Despite the increase in the number of collective dismissal processes, the number of people affected decreased. There was a 9.3% reduction in the total number of workers covered by these processes.
