Consulting firm OnStrategy presented the first indicator of the most memorable Portuguese brands, in which Delta occupies first place on the national podium, followed by Sagres and Olá. The study audited more than two thousand brands and collected information from more than 50,000 citizens, eight thousand business executives, 900 journalists and 200 opinion leaders. The complete top 10 also includes Caixa Geral de Depósitos, TAP, CTT, EDP, Galp, Continente and Super Bock.
The indicators evaluated by the study include solidity, vitality, authority, personality, genuineness, courage, dynamism, optimism, passion, inspiration and admiration. The analysis reveals significant generational differences in citizens' preferences between the ages of 18 and 75. Among young people aged 18 to 30 and in the 31 to 45 age group, Sagres ranks first, while Portuguese between 46 and 60 years old prefer Olá. Those over 61 again choose Delta as the most memorable brand.
The banking sector stands out with Caixa Geral de Depósitos in fourth place in the overall ranking, accompanied by Fidelidade, Millennium BCP, Banco BPI, Banco Montepio and Crédito Agrícola in the top 50. In the energy sector, EDP and Galp consolidate their position in the top 10, while Brisa and Via Verde ensure national mobility. TAP and CTT reinforce the role of the country's infrastructure linking it to the outside world and the national territory.
Distribution and food retail are represented through Continente, Pingo Doce and Bom Petisco, with Compal, Sumol, Água das Pedras and Luso representing the beverage sector. Television channels RTP, SIC and TVI, SAPO, NOS and Meo ensure information and entertainment. OnStrategy highlights that the ranking reflects the perception of a geographically diversified society, in terms of gender, age, education level and social class, with brands associated with more than 70 sectors of economic activity.
