The Brazilian company GOL Linhas Aéreas announced a new seasonal international summer route between Florianópolis and Asunción, capital of Paraguay. The direct and unprecedented flights will begin on January 5 and continue until February 14, 2027, in the post-Carnival period, which sees significant tourist movement in both Brazil and Paraguay.

The new connection brings together two destinations with distinct experiences: Florianópolis, known for its beaches, nature, gastronomy, and vibrant nightlife, and Asunción, which combines history, culture, gastronomy, and the bustling riverfront along the Paraguay River. The non-stop route represents a gain in speed and convenience for passengers from both countries.

Flights depart from Asunción on Wednesdays at 02:55 and on Saturdays at 21:45, landing in Florianópolis at 05:05 and 23:55, respectively. Departures from Florianópolis occur on Tuesdays at 23:50 and on Saturdays at 18:30, with arrivals in Asunción at 02:05 and 20:45. The operation is carried out with Boeing 737 aircraft, with a capacity of up to 186 passengers, and tickets are already available.
