The German entrepreneur Stefan Thumann, CEO of a German defense startup, stated that "Germany and Russia are at war," in an interview with German journalist Paul Ronzheimer's podcast. Thumann currently lives in hiding and under permanent protection due to the threats he receives.
The warning comes at a time when Berlin is hardening its stance regarding suspected sabotage by Kremlin operatives in Germany. The defense sector entrepreneur argues that the sabotage operations carried out by Moscow against his country constitute "an act of war controlled and coordinated here by the Russian Armed Forces."
In the interview given this Tuesday, Thumann rejected the term "hybrid war" used by European Union leaders to describe the Kremlin's campaign in Europe, considering that this terminology minimizes the gravity of Russian actions against German territory.
