Sever do Vouga: City Council supports works at the nursing home in Silva Escura

The Sever do Vouga Municipal Council will allocate a subsidy of 35 thousand euros to the Centro Social Paroquial Maria da Glória, a private social welfare institution located in the Union of Parishes of Silva Escura and Dornelas.

The municipal support is intended to contribute to the renovation works of the building housing the institution's Residential Facility for Elderly People, which has about three dozen beds, in addition to other planned investments.

This social welfare institution linked to the parish of Silva Escura provides various services to the local community, including nursery, day care centre, home support service, social assistance and guidance. The ERPI was established in 2017.

The institution also runs an agricultural farm with blueberry plantations.
