The 20th edition of the Lisbon International Horror Film Festival, MOTELX, kicks off on Thursday. This year, the festival presents a program that combines horror cinema with a touch of nostalgia.

Among the program highlights are films by American director Roger Corman and Portuguese director José de Sá Caetano, which are part of the festival's official selection.

MOTELX is one of the main events dedicated to horror cinema at an international level, and this edition marks two decades of the festival's existence in Lisbon.

Originally from Garanhuns (PE), Valença was also part of the band Caviar com Rapadura and currently performed with the group Raio da Silibrina. The band Calcinha Preta and vocalist Marlus Viana published tribute messages on social media mourning the death of their colleague. The burial took place in his hometown.
