The Municipality of Mourão signed a collaboration protocol with the Social Security Institute, IP/District Centre of Évora, with the objective of reinforcing the priority of the municipal executive to ensure that all children have equal access to educational opportunities.
With this protocol, the Social Security Institute commits to guarantee the financial support provided for the attendance of children in public nurseries of the municipality, through the monthly value defined per child, as stipulated in the applicable legislation.
The agreement aims to ensure that access to nursery services is not conditioned by the socioeconomic context of Mourão's families, thus promoting equal opportunities from early childhood.
The partnership between the Alentejo municipality and the District Centre of Évora represents an investment in social inclusion and in the development of children in the region.
