Mota-Engil Ambiente e Energia managed to secure a 25 million euro investment for the construction of five renewable biomethane production units. The project is considered pioneering and represents a milestone in the country's energy transition.
The funding was secured from Crédito Agrícola, which supported this initiative aimed at producing sustainable energy from renewable sources. The invested amount will enable the implementation of the five units on a large scale.
With this project, it will be possible to carry out the first large-scale injection of biomethane into the National Gas Network. This is a significant milestone for the national energy sector, which now has access to a clean and renewable energy source integrated into existing infrastructure.
