The Brazilian economy grew 0.5% in the second quarter, a result slightly above market expectations, which was 0.4%. All sectors registered growth, but the increase was not uniform across areas.
The sector that stood out the most was agriculture, with an advance of 2.8%. Services had growth of only 0.2% and industry advanced 0.1%, both with expansion close to stability.
The data indicate a slowdown in consumption and industry, which did not keep pace with agricultural activity in the period analyzed.
