The Parliamentary Group of the Socialist Party is requesting more transparency about the creation of six large strategic business areas announced by the Government for the installation of major investments. Socialist MPs question the criteria that will determine the location of these areas and are asking for explanations from the Ministry of Economy and Territorial Cohesion.
The PS MPs express particular concern about the exclusion of the Algarve from this initiative, considering that the region should be included in the map of the new strategic areas. This position was conveyed through a formal question directed to the Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion.
The party emphasizes the importance of understanding how the territories will be selected to host these large-scale projects, defending that the process must be transparent and equitable for all regions of the country.
