Jornal Económico1 September 2026 at 15:28

Pérez-Llorca announced the hiring of Luís Roquette Geraldes and Martim Teixeira as new partners, strengthening the Lisbon team in the areas of Emerging Companies and Venture Capital (ECVC) and Tax Law. According to the firm, these appointments represent a significant advance in two strategic areas for the practice.

Luís Roquette Geraldes joins Pérez-Llorca from Morais Leitão to lead the ECVC team in Portugal. He is described as one of five new partners of the Ibero-American ECVC platform and has experience leading hundreds of funding rounds across more than 20 jurisdictions.

The Tax Law team is strengthened by the addition of Martim Teixeira, who transitions from CS'Associados. The lawyer specializes in tax advisory for foreign investors and multinational groups, also counting on experience in tax litigation.

Carlos Vaz de Almeida, managing partner of Pérez-Llorca in Portugal, commented that these integrations represent a new leap for the project in Portugal and significantly expand the office's capabilities, which aims to offer clients increasingly integrated advisory services across the various jurisdictions in which it operates.
