The Municipal Council of Angra do Heroísmo issued a notice informing that traffic will be restricted or suspended on September 6, 2026, starting at 18:00 hours. The measure applies to a section of Regional Road No. 1 of 1st class, in Achadas, Ribeira da Luz.
The restriction extends from the area near the Church to Canada João Borges, in the parish of Altares. This traffic restriction is intended to allow the holding of a religious procession in honor of Our Lady of Lourdes.
Drivers should pay attention to the instructions from local authorities during the period in which traffic is affected on that regional road.
