The municipality of Ribeira de Pena awarded scholarships to 127 higher education students, as part of its municipal policy to support the education and qualification of young people in the county. This measure represents a municipal investment of approximately 100,700 euros.
The scholarships were awarded according to different tiers, defined based on the declared income of the students' family households.
The councilor for education, Inês Torres Pereira, explained that the awarding of these scholarships aims to ease the expenses associated with attending higher education, supporting families with tuition fees, accommodation, transport, food, and school supplies.
