Justice André Mendonça, of Brazil's Supreme Federal Court, asked the Attorney General's Office for additional information regarding a message attributed to former banker Daniel Vorcaro, within the scope of the Banco Master case investigations. According to a Federal Police report obtained by the Metrópoles portal, Vorcaro wrote that he needed the "protection" of "Andrei" and "Paulo." Investigators interpreted the names as references to Andrei Rodrigues, director-general of the PF, and Paulo Gonet, attorney general of Brazil.
Initially, the PF had not identified the message's recipient, but after the investigations, investigators concluded that it was sent to Justice Alexandre de Moraes, of the STF. André Mendonça forwarded the request to the PGR, requesting a statement, on Monday, according to the columnist for O Globo and commentator at CBN, Malu Gaspar.
The message, citing the authorities, was allegedly recorded on October 30, 2025, therefore, before Vorcaro's first arrest. The case involves investigations into Banco Master, a financial institution linked to the former banker.
