The new TVDE regime law comes into force today and allows taxis to also operate through electronic platforms, provided they meet the requirements set out in the legislation.
This change has generated opposition among TVDE sector associations and taxi sector associations, which point out problems in the legislation and admit they may appeal to the Constitutional Court.
The law also provides for new vehicle identification stickers, optional video recording inside vehicles with consent, and a minimum initial training of 50 hours.
