Portuguese public debt fell in July to 286 billion euros, the lowest value recorded in the last four months. This decline occurs after a sharp rise recorded in the month of June.
The most recent data places public debt at the lowest level since March, reversing the growth trend that had been observed in the previous month.
However, the figures now known do not include the relationship between debt and the wealth produced by the country, that is, the proportion of debt in relation to Gross Domestic Product is not presented.
