A 49-year-old woman stabbed two people in the tourist area of Times Square in New York this Monday. The incident occurred in one of the busiest areas of the city, frequented by tourists and local residents.

The two victims were attacked by the woman during the attack. One of them died due to the stab wounds, while the second victim was also stabbed.

Police authorities were called to the scene and confronted the aggressor. During the intervention, police immobilized the woman at gunpoint, managing to control the situation and detain the suspect before she could cause more harm.

The incident happened on a Monday, increasing the number of people in the area due to the commercial and tourist activity characteristic of this Manhattan zone.

Weekly fair: Three arrested on suspicion of counterfeiting crime

The PSP of Espinho arrested three people — two women aged 21 and 49 and a man aged 37 — on suspicion of crimes against industrial property during an inspection at the weekly fair. The suspects were intercepted selling counterfeit articles of renowned brands at an improvised stall, and 920 articles with deficiencies in the logos were seized.
