The Grupo Desportivo e Recreativo André de Resende (GDRAR), from Évora, announced that its senior women's basketball team will play home games in the Liga Betclic Feminina at the Pavilhão Municipal de Montemor-o-Novo during the 2026/2027 season. This decision marks a new chapter in the history of the club and Alentejo basketball.
The club's board explained that, since securing participation in the main national women's basketball competition, it has taken all possible steps to keep the games in Évora. Various options were analysed to find the best solution for the team.
The choice fell on the Pavilhão Municipal de Montemor-o-Novo, which is expected to host the Évora team's matches in the main league during the next sports season. This solution allows GDR André de Resende to participate in the national elite competition, despite being unable to use facilities in Évora.
