What are the Portuguese brands that consumers remember most?

SAPO Notícias1 September 2026 at 10:34

The brand strategy company OnStrategy created the first "Memorable Portuguese Brands" ranking, which identifies the national brands most remembered by consumers. The study analyzed more than 2,000 brands over a full year of research.

The three brands occupying the podium of this ranking are, in order, Delta, Sagres, and Olá. These brands managed to stand out among all the national companies evaluated in the study.

Delta is a Portuguese brand known in the food and beverage sector, while Sagres is a popular Portuguese beer in the national market. Olá, on the other hand, is an ice cream and confectionery brand in Portugal.

This ranking represents a relevant indicator for national companies, as brand memorability is directly linked to their ability to remain present in consumers' minds and, consequently, to their competitiveness in the market.

Farmer reveals how much he receives for tomatoes that cost up to 3 euros in the supermarket: difference surprises

A Spanish farmer, Juan Carlos, revealed that he receives around one euro per kilo of tomatoes, while the same product costs between 2.50 and 3 euros on supermarket shelves. The price difference along the food chain has been one of the main complaints of the agricultural sector in Spain, which faces growing production costs, adverse weather conditions, and competition from imported products. Although there is a Food Chain Law in Spain aimed at preventing sales below production cost, farmers argue that greater control and more effective enforcement of the rules are needed to ensure a fairer distribution of value throughout the entire chain.
