The Secretary of State for the Economy, João Rui Ferreira, stated today in Maputo that Portuguese companies never abandoned Mozambique, remaining present even during the most difficult moments. This declaration was made during an official visit to the Mozambican capital.
According to the official, Portuguese companies have expressed interest in taking advantage of the business opportunities related to the natural gas sector in Mozambique. The African country has developed significant natural gas exploration projects in recent years.
João Rui Ferreira defended that it is up to the Portuguese Government to play the role of supporting national companies in pursuing these investment opportunities in Mozambique, thus reinforcing economic cooperation between the two countries.
