The municipality of Anadia approved at the last executive meeting the allocation of a total support of 163 thousand euros to 19 social solidarity institutions in the municipality. This financial aid aims to recognize the effort and encourage the work developed by these institutions in close coordination with Anadia's Social Network.
The distributed amounts were determined based on various criteria, including existing social responses, the number of users of each institution, participation in projects promoted by the local authority, and the collaboration provided to the Municipal Council in developing skills in the area of school social action.
The local authority reaffirmed its commitment to continue supporting and strengthening the work of IPSS, which are considered one of the main pillars of Anadia's Social Network. These institutions provide permanent and qualified social responses that contribute to improving the living conditions of the population, preventing situations of exclusion and social isolation, supporting families, and promoting the autonomy and dignity of people.
The support now allocated also took into consideration the increasing difficulties that IPSS have faced in recent years, namely the significant increase in operating costs related to human resources, energy, food, fuels, and the acquisition of essential goods and services, which pressure the financial sustainability of these entities.
