Duarte Rodrigues and Inês Veiga won the 1600cc class of the Promolafões Rali Cup and the X1-9 class at Rali Constálica – Castro Daire – Oliveira de Frades – Vouzela, driving a Citroën Saxo Cup. The duo also finished in 2nd place among two-wheel drive competitors, both in the Centro Rally Championship and the Promo Rally Championship.
According to Duarte Rodrigues, a Vianense driver, the strategy involved managing the pace throughout the two days of the event. On the first day they adopted a more cautious pace in the Castro Daire special stages, saving the attack for the first kilometres of Sunday.
Co-driver Inês Veiga highlighted the driver's performance, describing the rally as exemplary, error-free and with impressive competitive maturity.
The duo will next take part in the Rali de Viana do Castelo on September 18th and 19th, an event that also marks their return to the setting of their rally debut in 2025. Duarte Rodrigues stated that he wanted to treat the people of Viana do Castelo to a strong pace and lots of spectacle, thanking the Municipality of Viana do Castelo for their investment and support in the project.
