A 10-year-old boy was forgotten by his father at a service station on the A-66, near Aldea del Cano, in Cáceres. The child was traveling in the car with his father, a friend of his, and a 7-year-old brother, when he was accidentally left at the location.
A gas station worker found the boy alone and alerted the Guardia Civil. The police intercepted the family's vehicle about 140 kilometers and two and a half hours later, without the occupants having noticed the minor's absence.
When the Guardia Civil stopped the car, the companions then realized what had happened. The boy was eventually reunited with his family safely.
