A 17-year-old youth was detained on suspicion of having attempted to kill another teenager, also 17 years old, with a knife in Barreiro. The attack occurred in the middle of a public street, after several previous attempts at aggression between the two young people.
The victim was chased and struck in the chest with a large knife. The teenager suffered a lung puncture as a result of the wound and was left in a life-threatening condition.
The case is being investigated by the competent authorities, who proceeded with the detention of the aggressive youth. The security forces are analyzing the circumstances that led to the incident, including the history of previous conflicts between the two teenagers.
