Amazon sued for manipulation of auctions for website placement

Amazon is being sued for manipulation of auctions for placement on its website. The U.S. consumer protection agency, known as the FTC, and 22 U.S. states filed a joint complaint against the company.

The complaint was filed on Monday at a federal court located in Seattle, the city where the Amazon group has its headquarters.

This lawsuit arises from practices related to how Amazon manages auctions for product positioning on its online platform, allegedly manipulating competitive conditions.
