Postal do Algarve1 September 2026 at 08:40

Solverde Hotels launched a new version of its website that now includes tourist guides dedicated to the regions where the group's properties are located, including the Algarve. The platform brings together suggestions for monuments, landscapes, activities, gastronomy, festivals, and local events, as well as allowing users to book stays and purchase tickets for shows.

The new website, launched last month, covers destinations in the North, Trás-os-Montes, and Algarve regions. In the case of the Algarve, the tourist guide is primarily focused on Portimão and Alvor, with proposals that include Portimão Marina, the city's riverfront area, the Casa-Museu Manuel Teixeira Gomes, Alvor, birdwatching activities on the Arade river, and water sports. The Hotel Algarve Casino, located at Praia da Rocha, is the hotel property associated with this region.

Until September 30, the group offers a promotional campaign with 25% discount on reservations made through the website. The discount applies to minimum stays that vary depending on the hotel property: four nights at Hotel Casino Chaves, five nights at Hotel Solverde Spa & Wellness Center and Hotel Apartamento Solverde, and seven nights at Hotel Algarve Casino.

According to the group, the objective of the new digital platform is to simplify navigation and concentrate different functionalities in a single space, from booking stays to purchasing tickets for shows and booking experiences.

Farmer reveals how much he receives for tomatoes that cost up to 3 euros in the supermarket: difference surprises

A Spanish farmer, Juan Carlos, revealed that he receives around one euro per kilo of tomatoes, while the same product costs between 2.50 and 3 euros on supermarket shelves. The price difference along the food chain has been one of the main complaints of the agricultural sector in Spain, which faces growing production costs, adverse weather conditions, and competition from imported products. Although there is a Food Chain Law in Spain aimed at preventing sales below production cost, farmers argue that greater control and more effective enforcement of the rules are needed to ensure a fairer distribution of value throughout the entire chain.
