The environmental association ZERO admitted to having only partial information regarding the Autonomous Region of Madeira in the assessment of the quality of bathing waters in Portugal. The analysis was updated with data available until August 30.
The study identified 68 bathing waters throughout the country that had at least one occurrence of water unsuitable for swimming. However, the association notes that the national picture is not yet complete.
ZERO also stated that it did not have the complete data from the Azores, which means that the assessment of the quality of bathing waters in mainland and island Portuguese territory has informational gaps. The information was made available through the link https://www.dnoticias.
