The police professionals' union and an agents' association sent a letter to other representative structures of PSP and GNR, calling for the formation of a common front between the two security forces.
The invitation aims to hold a meeting scheduled for the 8th, in Lisbon, where issues of common interest for both police forces will be discussed.
This initiative comes at a time of growing claims by PSP and GNR members, who have been defending better working conditions, salary updates and professional valorization.
The creation of a common front would allow the two security forces to unite efforts and reinforce pressure on the government to resolve their main claims.
