Lionel Richie, 77, felt ill during a show held at The Muny, in Forest Park, in the United States. The singer had difficulties on stage right during the last song of the repertoire, "All Night Long", and asked his team to bring a chair so he could continue singing seated.
After the presentation, Lionel Richie went on his own to a hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, where he was admitted to the intensive care unit (ICU). Doctors are investigating the possibility of mild dehydration as the cause of the discomfort.
Sources close to the singer told TMZ that he is being cautious with his health and that the expectation is that he will be discharged from the hospital this Tuesday, October 1st.
At the time of publication of the article, Lionel Richie's representatives had not officially commented on the case.
