Senator Flavio Bolsonaro (PL-RJ) and former governor of Minas Gerais Romeu Zema (Novo) came to the defense of presidential candidate Renan Santos from the Missão party after Justice Minister Dias Toffoli from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE) temporarily restricted the campaign of the presidential hopeful.
The decision prevents Renan from participating in debates on radio, television, and other media, suspends access of the majoritarian ticket to resources from the Special Campaign Financing Fund (FEFC), and prohibits electoral propaganda through profiles and electronic addresses that were not reported to the Electoral Court within the deadline.
Flavio Bolsonaro expressed his views on social media shortly after the decision became public. The PL presidential candidate said he hopes Renan manages to restore his candidacy and associated the episode with the blocking of former President Jair Bolsonaro's social media accounts.
