Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also participated in bilateral talks with Putin on the sidelines of this summit, joining the diplomatic meetings between the world leaders present at the event.

In Kyrgyzstan, the Russian and Chinese Presidents promised to unite efforts to reform global governance, at a time when geopolitical tensions between powers continue to shape the international scenario.

Government reserves R$ 44.8 billion for parliamentary amendments in 2027

The Lula government reserved R$ 44.8 billion for parliamentary amendments in the 2027 Annual Budget Bill (PLOA), an increase of R$ 4 billion compared to the proposal for 2026. The amount is expected to be higher after Congressional approval, since in 2026, R$ 40.8 billion was reserved, but the approved amount reached R$ 50 billion. Mandatory amendments are those the government is obligated to pay, while non-mandatory ones depend on available space in the Budget. There are three types of amendments: individual, from state delegations, and from committees, each with its own rules for distribution and application.
