Bilateral talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping opened the annual summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), being held in Kyrgyzstan. This multilateral meeting brings together leaders from Asian countries to discuss regional cooperation issues.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi also participated in bilateral talks with Putin on the sidelines of this summit, joining the diplomatic meetings between the world leaders present at the event.
In Kyrgyzstan, the Russian and Chinese Presidents promised to unite efforts to reform global governance, at a time when geopolitical tensions between powers continue to shape the international scenario.
The Shanghai Cooperation Organization is an international organization that includes countries such as China, Russia, India, Pakistan and various Central Asian countries, promoting economic and security cooperation in the region.
