A 65-year-old man died at Vila Real hospital after a collision on the A24 Motorway. The victim was in cardiorespiratory arrest with very serious injuries and died in the Emergency room.
The other victim of the accident was a woman who suffered multiple fractures, and was also taken to Vila Real hospital.
According to the GNR, the accident involved a motorcycle and two light vehicles. Traffic was restricted on one lane in the south-north direction to allow the rescue of victims and the removal of debris.
The alert for the accident was given at 9:08 am and to the scene were mobilized the Firefighters of Peso da Régua, an INEM team and GNR officers.
