Minister Estela Aranha, from the Superior Electoral Court (TSE), determined on Friday night (28) the breaking of the secrecy of Instagram's registration data of Hugo Júnior, the new president of Acadêmicos de Niterói. The decision fulfills a request from the Missão party, which moves an action against the samba school.
The action aims to investigate the alleged practice of early propaganda for president Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) during carnival. The samba school is under investigation for allegedly conducting an early campaign for the head of the federal Executive.
The secrecy-breaking measure aims to allow Hugo Júnior to be formally notified on behalf of the association. With this, the TSE intends to continue the process related to the accusation of early electoral propaganda.
The Missão party is responsible for bringing the Electoral Justice into the case. The determination of Minister Estela Aranha was issued to enable the official notification of the new president of the samba school in the process pending at the TSE.
