New line reinforces public transport during school period

A new public transport line designated MU053 has been created, operated by the company Flaviamobil. The line departs from Trandeiras at 7:30 am, Monday to Friday, while the departure from the municipal seat occurs at 6 pm. The bus route passes through Trandeiras, Afonsim, Reguengo, Cabanas and ends in Vila Pouca de Aguiar.

This is an initiative of the municipality of Vila Pouca de Aguiar that aims to reinforce and complement public transport in the Alvão area. The line will operate exclusively during the school period, Monday to Friday, with the exception of public holidays.

The Intermunicipal Community of Alto Tâmega e Barroso was the entity responsible for awarding the road passenger public transport concession to Flaviamobil in the municipalities of the region. The concession came into operation in January 2024.
