Ludgero Marques was a native of Santa Maria da Feira, where he was born on March 26, 1938. His full name was Ângelo Ludgero da Silva Marques.

He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Porto, which enabled him to build a successful career in the business world.

Throughout his professional life, Ludgero Marques led several companies, notably his role as president of AEP, a position he held for several years.
