JHC, candidate for governor of Alagoas by the PSDB, questioned on social media the arrival of railway equipment in Arapiraca and suggested it was the VLT announced for the city. On Saturday, the 29th, he shared a video in which a man appears next to a stationary train on the tracks and points out cracks in the paint and signs of rust on the vehicle.
The post, however, was contested by the Ministry of Transport. According to the ministry, the vehicle shown in the video is a locomotive used for safety tests of the railway structure, and not one of the three passenger trains that will operate in the system.
In the video, the man states: "The VLT of Arapiraca has arrived, it remains to be seen if this isn't that one from ten years ago, right. Because it doesn't look new." JHC wrote in the caption of the post: "Someone le..." The article does not report what the continuation of the message would be.
