Fire in scrubland area cuts IC1 in Santiago do Cacém municipality

A fire broke out in a scrubland area in the municipality of Santiago do Cacém, causing the closure of road traffic on the IC1.

The Sub-Regional Command for Emergency and Civil Protection of the Alentejo Litoral confirmed to the news agency that the road is closed at kilometre 617.

The alert for the fire was given at 16:09.
