A ferry sank this Sunday off Kyrenia, in northern Cyprus. The incident resulted in at least eight dead and 18 people still missing.

Serkan Kunduraci, one of the survivors, was on board the ferry and managed to describe the moments of panic experienced during the sinking. The man described having seen people who didn't know how to swim die at sea.

The rescue operation continues underway to find the missing people, while authorities investigate the circumstances that led to the ferry sinking.
