The Vila-real City Council plenary approved on Monday the transfer to the Valencian Generalitat of a municipal plot of 80,000 square meters, valued at 3.1 million euros. The land is located next to the Onda road and the AP-7 motorway, where the current Agricultural Experimental Station is located.
The transferred plot will be intended for testing, training and agricultural innovation services, seeking to reinforce the research and training capabilities in the agricultural sector of the region. The approval of this transfer represents a significant investment by the local administration in agricultural development.
In the same plenary session, the payment of 1.52 million euros corresponding to 141 invoices to suppliers was also approved. The municipality also expressed solidarity with Ceuta and defined the two local holidays for 2027: April 5, Sant Vicent's day, and May 17, Sant Pasqual's day.
