A wildfire broke out in the late afternoon in Ermidas do Sado, in the municipality of Santiago do Cacém, mobilizing over 80 firefighters to fight the flames.
The alert for the incident was given shortly after 4 PM, with Civil Protection quickly deploying resources to the scene.
Over 80 personnel are on the ground supported by 22 ground vehicles, joined by seven aerial assets that reinforce the firefighting operations.
Control operations remain underway at the time of publication.
