Ludgero Marques died at the age of 88. He was an entrepreneur and association leader, having been president of the Portuguese Business Association (AEP) for 23 years, from 1985 to 2008.

AEP described him as "one of the greatest figures" of Portuguese business associations, recognizing his prominent role in the organization for more than two decades.

His leadership at the helm of AEP represented a significant period for the business sector in Portugal, spanning more than two decades of association activity.
