The Regional Public Administration of Madeira closed the first seven months of 2026 with a surplus of 41.5 million euros, 56.9 million less than in the same period of 2025, when the positive balance had reached 98.4 million euros.
The drop corresponds to a 57.8% reduction in the surplus, according to the Budget Execution Bulletin published by the Regional Secretariat for Finance.
The deterioration in the result occurs in a scenario where consolidated effective revenue amounted to 1,092.1 million euros. The article was interrupted before presenting data on effective expenditure.
